The wonderful world of conspiracies...

OK, I have to admit, I'm a sucker for a good conspiracy theory. I mean, really, I can go down the rabbit hole as quickly as the next guy. Secret societies, New World Order, aliens, Elvis... I'm right there. It's pretty amazing this "secret" information is even able to get out to the public.

What's real; what's a scam? These days the lines are so blurred it's hard to tell fact from fiction. Bottom line, one way or another, the illusive "Man" is just around the corner and Anti-Christ just married your neighbor's daughter.

Honestly, it can get real crazy real fast. So how does one live in such an Apocalyptic conundrum? As for me and my house, I like to KISS it (Keep it Simple Stupid). I know, it's not real original, but it definitely helps to slow down the "crazy train" that's running through my brain as I listen to the news and read social media.

As many of you know, I am a Christian. I know it's not the most popular thing to identify as, but then again, I was never really into being popular or cool, just ask my kids. I'm not here to debate if Jesus was an alien or religion is man's way of controlling others. That's a conversation for another time and place... maybe. Anyway, the "love God, love people" mandate given by Jesus has helped keep me grounded in a world that seems to be spinning out of control in a blur of matted wet fur.

So, in my world I have two things to do... only two... love God and love others. I don't have to do anything else. I know, I said, "God." You don't have to tell me that "god" is just a figment of my imagination left over by my unconscious memory loss of my true godhood or that God is just a mix of chemicals in my brain, and I won't tell you how you're a ranch sinner in need of a Savior... I'll let that up to the Holy Spirit. Anyway... keeping things simple helps me to see the person in front of me instead of an agenda, soap box, or obstacle to world domination. It helps me to see a real live person, eye to eye, heart to heart.

The real crazy thing is I don't even have to agree with the person in front of me to love them or care about them. This is as simple as it gets. Of course living it out is a little more challenging. I have even found that I'm less concerned about conspiracy theories and more compassionate toward those around me. I love the words of the Apostle Paul,

"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."
(Romans 12:21 NIV)

Even if the stories are true, we can still react with love, honor, and respect with the life we have... today. We all live and we all die. Why spend your life in the Illuminati when you could be loving your family, caring for those who don't have a voice, and experiencing a life that transcends this life? What will you do with your life... NOW! Whether or not we will be attacked by aliens or taken over by NWO, we are here for a very short amount of time. How will we live with what we have, knowing that no one here gets out alive... unless you're raptured? But then again, that's another discussion for another time and another place... maybe.
